The presence of man-made and naturally occurring contaminants continues to pose a significant challenge on chemical, industrial, municipal, landfill and civil sites across the country. Such contaminants include volatile organic compounds (VOCs), semi-volatile organic compounds (S-VCOCs), light non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPLs), dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPLs), total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), and metals.
While some contaminants can be treated relatively inexpensively, others may require a more labor-intensive approach. Together, Moretrench and its subsidiary Ground/Water Treatment & Technology (GWTT) provide a full range of environmental remediation services customized to the contaminant(s) encountered. These fall under the following general categories:
- In situ soil and groundwater treatment
- Groundwater and wastewater recovery and treatment
- Barrier techniques (cut-off and exclusion)
- Landfill gas and leachate systems
- Odor and hazardous vapor control
- Contaminated soil excavation and disposal
